Ayin: “the seer of the aleph bet” light, enlightenment, perception, clarity. to truly see what is before us is an awesome task. ayin urges us to look with care on our surroundings in order to fully appreciate and not overlook life. insight: to see all the way to the ayin, the “spring” or “source.” just as a spring brings water from the dark depths to the light of the sun, so the eye brings perception of the world into the human mind.
